How to create a radiant-looking complexion

A fresh-looking glow can come from a comfortable skincare base, a foundation finish you enjoy and a little colour in the right places. There is no instant food or makeup trick that guarantees “healthy skin”, but you can experiment with a routine that makes your complexion look more radiant.

Start with skin preparation

Cleanse gently and use skincare that suits you. Allow moisturiser and your regular sunscreen to settle before makeup. A well-prepared base can make foundation easier to apply evenly. Makeup is not a substitute for sun protection.

Choose a foundation finish

For a natural look, apply a thin layer of foundation and add coverage only where you want it. A liquid formula may give a different finish from loose mineral powder. Try both textures if you are unsure, and check the colour along your jawline in daylight.

Add colour and light selectively

A little blush can bring colour to the cheeks. Highlighter can catch the light on the high points of the face. If you prefer a more matte T-zone, keep the glow to selected areas and use a little finishing powder where needed.

Keep the routine comfortable

Too much product can make dry patches or texture more visible. Apply in thin layers with clean tools, assess the result in daylight and change one step at a time. The best glow is the finish you enjoy wearing.
